A Message To Republican Primary Voters

I’m Anthony Bonna, your conservative Republican County Commissioner and I would be honored to earn your vote for St. Lucie County Commission District 2.

I have been serving you as commissioner since March of this year, when Governor Rick Scott entrusted me with this important responsibility after careful review of the backgrounds and qualifications of nine applicants, including my three primary competitors.

During that time, I have stood up for the citizens and fought for lower taxes and fees, the sustainability of our school resource deputy program, job-creating initiatives, and clean waterways. The greatest joy I get in office is when I am able to help a veteran get connected with needed services or help get a business push through the government red tape and get back on track.

During the past several months, I have knocked on over 2,000 doors. I pride myself on being accessible and available to you. If you have questions between now and when you vote, I invite you to call me on my cell phone at 772-237-0984.

Thank you for your consideration,

A little bit about me

I moved to Port St. Lucie in 1990, earned a finance degree from Georgetown University, and am a local small business owner. I’m a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a Rotarian, an Eagle Scout, and your current elected Republican State Committeeman. My wife Sasha and I have lived and own property in both Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie.

What I Stand For

Less Taxes:
Did you know St. Lucie County has one of the highest, if not the highest, millage rates in the state? That’s why I proposed $1 Million in property tax relief this year.

More Jobs: My top priority as your Commissioner is to make St. Lucie County as business-friendly as possible. I view almost every issue through the lens of job creation.

Better Roads: I’m focused on ensuring St. Lucie County has the infrastructure to sustain our growth.

Clean Water: Enough excuses. We need action now! I support plans on the books to store water north, south, east, and west of the lake and septic-to-sewer incentive programs. We need to do more to address our failing culverts and drainage issues and hold our federal and state government accountable.

Support Public Safety: As Chair of the Public Safety Coordinating Council, I am committed to ensuring our law enforcement has the resources necessary to keep our community safe.

Community Support

I am endorsed by RAPB, the organization representing St. Lucie County’s Realtors, Congressman Tom Rooney, Port St. Lucie City Councilman John Carvelli, and Port St. Lucie City Councilwoman Jolien Caraballo.
